Terms of Use

Last updated: July 2026

1. Acceptance

These terms cover the EvidenceField app at app.evidencefield.com — the product itself, not the public marketing site. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, if you’re signing up for a company, on behalf of that organization.

2. What the app does today

EvidenceField is an early product: you describe a business question to an AI research director, it proposes a research brief (a synthetic AI panel, human fieldwork, or both), and — once you approve it — EvidenceField’s operators execute the study and deliver findings back into the app, with citations to the underlying evidence. Some of this is concierge work by EvidenceField staff, not a fully automated pipeline. Pricing shown in a brief (a design fee and an execution estimate range) is not processed for payment inside the app today; it’s proposed and confirmed directly with EvidenceField.

3. Accounts

You can create an account with an email and password, or sign in with Google. Accounts belong to an organization (your company or team) — research context, briefs, and studies accumulate at the organization level, and every member who signs in to that organization can see them. Keep your credentials to yourself; you’re responsible for activity under your account.

4. Your content, our AI

What you type into the app — your questions, the resulting conversation, and any facts you edit on the About-you page — is used to run the app: routed to language models to hold the conversation, draft the brief, and (where a study calls for it) generate a synthetic respondent panel. This processing is described in the Privacy Policy.

You own your organization’s research content — briefs, studies, findings, and evidence artifacts delivered to you. EvidenceField owns the product itself: the app, its design, the “EvidenceField” name, and the Meridian mark.

5. Human fieldwork & research participants

Some studies involve real research participants — interviews, field notes, or recordings collected by EvidenceField research directors. Participants are told, before any session, what’s being collected and why, and asked for consent; see how EvidenceField treats research participants. As the commissioning organization, you agree to use any participant evidence delivered to you only for the research purpose it was collected for, and not to attempt to re-identify participants beyond what’s disclosed in the findings.

6. Honesty layer & no guarantee of outcome

Every brief and every finding is meant to be honest about what a given method can and can’t tell you — including where a synthetic panel’s validity is weaker (culturally distant markets, novel products, sensitive topics) and where a finding is tentative. Nothing delivered through the app is a guarantee of a business outcome; it’s evidence meant to inform a decision you still make.

7. Acceptable use

  • No scraping, automated harvesting, or reverse-engineering of the app.
  • No attempts to disrupt the app or the services behind it, or to access another organization’s account or data.
  • No submitting content you don’t have the right to share, or using the app to generate deceptive or harmful synthetic content unrelated to legitimate research.

8. Third-party services

The app runs on infrastructure and services from other companies — hosting, language models (via OpenRouter), transactional email, and product analytics. Details are in the Privacy Policy. We aren’t responsible for the availability or practices of those third parties beyond our agreements with them.

9. Status of the product

EvidenceField is in active early development. Features change, break, and get rebuilt without notice. The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” with no warranty of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Ending your account

You can stop using the app at any time. To close your account or your organization’s account, contact us — there’s no self-serve deletion yet. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.

11. Changes

These terms may change as the product evolves. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when they do; continued use of the app after a change means you accept the update.
